When you click on a link, files should open automatically on your computer if you have Office 2007 installed and the proper file types are associated with the correct program.

Click on the online grade roster link, Microsoft Excel should start, and the file should open.

The most common problem encountered is that file extensions are not associated with the proper programs.

Some of the file types and the programs they should be associated with are:

.xlxs -Microsoft Excel 2007

.ppt - Microsoft Powerpoint.

If the file extension is not associated with the proper program, the results when you click on the link are unpredictable.

The second most common problem is that Office 2007 is not installed on your computer. Office 2007 replaced the .xls file extension with the .xlxs extension.

If you have an older verions of Office, no program is associated with the .xlxs extenstion.

You need to upgrade to Office 2007 or later.
